There is More. #FSMadeForMore Event Recap
On Saturday 14th September 2019, Femelle Soul’s launch event ‘MADE FOR MORE’ hit Birmingham! Over 50 women gathered to talk about purpose, passion and encourage and inspire each other to live our lives for the glory of God. Here’s a quick recap on what the event was all about!
Why purpose matters
Everything exists for a reason. The phone in your hand, the laptop you’re sat in front of the lights in the room you’re in and you. Everything has been created for a purpose. God is intentional and he creates with a purpose. When people believe they’re the result of random chance and that there is no real reason for life, there’s a real danger that they can end up wasting their time here on earth and ultimately, their entire lives.

You Were Made For His Glory
The bible teaches us that we were made for the glory of God, which means we were made to live our lives in a way that makes people stop and say “Gods amazing! Look what He’s done in X’s life.”
Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
Isaiah 43:7
During our panel at the event, one of the panelists, Ysabella said; “we all have the same purpose but we have different callings.” Which I agree with 100%. As Christians, our overarching purpose is to glorify God, but how we do that is through our callings which are all unique to us.
God gives each of us skills, hobbies, talents which we can use for His glory. During the event, we had various women on the panel, others sang, shared spoken word, poetry, encouragement; all of these are skills which can be used for God's glory!
You Were Made For More
I believe that a lot of the time, your calling is probably hidden in your passion. It’s hidden in the detail.
For example, no-one could’ve ever told me my calling was in producing music. I’m just not that interested. But I’ve always known I liked writing. I just never knew I could write for God. Until now!
Right now, giving God the glory through my life comes through pouring into my blog, writing, posting and getting involved with my church. Maybe this blog will never become “the next big thing”, but that’s not the point...my prayers and intentions are that this platform will inspire someone else to start a blog or step into their calling and purpose that will change the lives of thousands or millions. I’m happy with that. Because it’s not about me, the team or anyone else. It’s about Him in us, through us, getting the glory.
So that was our theme and some background context on what we spent our afternoon exploring and discussing!
